Many would say that the US invasion of Afghanistan in order to clamp down on the activities and proliferation of terror groups, following the Osama bin Laden catastrophic bombings of the world trade centre in 2001 was nothing, but a futile mission.

The US government invaded Afghanistan with the aim of fishing out terrorists and  restoring a democratic government. This lasted for a couple of decades, but the battle ended in an embarrassing defeat as a result of  poor handling of foreign policies.

Now, the Taliban are jubilating not just for victory, but for the fact that they now have access to US made weapons that were left behind by the defeated democratic government. Those weapons were military reinforcements provided by the US as a way of helping the Afghanistan government resist opposition from opposing forces, but as soon as  the US announced their withdrawal, the Afghanistan forces fell like a pack of cards, leaving behind weapons worth millions of dollars  in the hands of the Talibans

As events are unfolding, the Talibans have been sighted, trying to fly in some assault aircrafts. The BADRI-313 Taliban Force are now in charge of the Kabul airport where hundreds of aircrafts Left behind, depict the chaotic withdrawal of the US troops by the Biden administration.

The Americans dismantled their military systems before leaving. They also claim that those aircrafts will not fly again, but the Talibans do think otherwise. In a recent interview, their spokesman claimed that their engineers could make them functional again.

Also, after two weeks of chaos, most of the infrastructures in the airport are either degraded or destroyed. Repairs need to take place for the airport to take a better shape, but the big question remains, Will commercial flights resume?, will refugees be allowed to leave? These questions and many more are really mind boggling,

However, one thing is certain; the Taliban government has come to stay, and it is wisdom for all in their confines to play ball or face their wrath.
